JOB: ASSISTANT CONTROLLER
Responsibilities:
* Functions include Accounting, Credit and Collections,
Subsidiaries, Tax and Treasury.
* Manage monthly close and deliver results of operations to
management in timely manner and in a format providing analytic insight as
appropriate.
* Ensure general ledger and accounting records are maintained in
compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and best
practices.
* Ensure adequate general ledger and related systems support
company business operations and accommodate future growth.
* Ensure appropriate consolidation of inter-company accounts and
subsidiary activity is maintained in accordance with GAAP and country
regulatory reporting requirements.
* Assist with all aspects of accounting operations and ensure
Department deadlines are met.
* Provide timely monthly reports of actuals, along with variance
analysis.
* Oversee the development of financial accounting systems required
to maintain reporting requirements.
* Assist with annual audit and activities of other outside
consultants, such as tax accounting firms.
* File tax and other reports required by governmental regulations.
* Establish policies and procedures to ensure effective financial
controls are in place including appropriate training. Recommend changes
to improve controls and report on any failures.
Requirements:
* BA/BS in Accounting or related degree from a reputed US
university.
* Thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
* 8+ years of relevant accounting experience.
* Public reporting experience preferred, but not required.
