ob Description
Candidate will be part of a team and develop, maintain, and enhance the
Java/Web UI portions of the STG group´s MARS product set. This
includes Web UI, Java, and RDBMS technologies, relating to networking and
security applications.
Requires use of a strong background in SW design,
documentation/implementation, and debugging on projects including the following list of
responsibilities: work in a fast-paced small or medium-sized team on the
development and deployment of a major SW release, including building the
software and coordinating with various other teams. Design and deliver
system software after specification of requirements. Define new
software features and resolve design issues. Fix QA and customer bugs in large
portions of software independently and rapidly.
Skills Required
Applicants should possess the following skills:
Strong programming experience using Java, AJAX, JSP, DHTML, Servlets,
XML, and JavaScript
Experience writing software for networking and/or security appliances
or applications desirable
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong sense of teamwork
Commitment to customer success
Knowledge and experience in Linux is very desirable
Knowledge of leading edge (especially Web) UI technologies and
directions
Knowledge/experience with AJAX Toolkit like YUI or similar is
desirable
Knowledge of Oracle applications, SQL and DBMS in general, and
relation schema design is very desirable
Knowledge of JBOSS and debugging in JBOSS environment is very
desirable
Experience in MVC framework like Spring/Struts is a plus.
Educational Background Recommended
Typically requires MS/CS combined with 3-10 years of related
experience, or BS/CS combined with 4-10+ yrs related experience.
