IP Telephony Solutions Architect - Customer Facing, Sales Support Role

Telecom sales representatives or customer support engineers who want to
advance their careers and become true Solutions Architects will have
an exceptional opportunity to do just that as you support our Telekenex
sales team in the San Francisco Bay Area. You´ll help customers design
solutions that incorporate the most cutting edge, layered combinations
of voice, data and hardware, running the gamut from Hosted VoIP, SIP
Trunking, Managed Ethernet, MPLS plus Internet and Data Center options.
As the key and primary technical resource on every sales call, your
ability to communicate effectively with customer CTOs and CIOs will help to
seal and secure a successful deal. Since your monthly and quarterly
bonus packages are linked to the performance of our branch and region,
you can effectively ratchet your total compensation into six figures.

serving enterprises and carriers with a robust national network, and
innovative solutions, including: local, long distance, international calling,
audio/presentation/desktop sharing conferencing, high-speed data
transmission and Internet services, and a full suite of customer premise

As one of our Solutions Architects in San Francisco you will be the
go-to technical resource for 5 to 10 sales representatives. Customizing
technical solutions for the customers of each sales rep from our robust
product suite will be a fundamental part of your role, and strong
prioritization skills and superior multi-tasking capabilities will be key.
You will typically get involved with a prospect on a second call, once
needs have been identified. It´s at this point that the prospects’
technical personnel will get involved and you will use a combination of white
board drawings, PowerPoint presentations and Visio diagrams to help
all parties understand how Telekenex will be connecting the dots.
Successful candidates in this role often are highly technical telecom sales
representatives who now want to pursue a more technical career path, one
without a quota. This type of candidate understands the sales process
and has effectively communicated with C-level personnel. Other
candidates of interest to us may come from a technical support or implementation
engineer role; they now have gained the necessary business and
communication skills to effectively help turn a prospect into a customer and
can thrive in this role. The one ingredient shared by both of these
candidates is a willingness to advance their technical aptitude in IP
telephony - one of the fastest growing, and most rapidly evolving,
industries today. This is truly a front line technical position and with your
hands on the pulse of our customer base, you´ll gather invaluable
information that will shape development of not just new product features, but
entirely new products. With Telekenex in growth mode, you´ll have
multiple opportunities to support larger customers with even more complex
needs as a Senior Solutions Architect or to manage teams of Solutions
Architects as we expand our operations.
